Nahimong eat all you can tungod sa kadaghan sa mga pagkaon.

The church welcomes any donation in any form ,in any kind, to
be used to help spread the gospel to all nations. Your generosity
will counts so much to the Lord.

HISTORY:
.
On Sept 9, 1991, four believers: Aldrin Lobo, Felix Daray, Federico Sumay and Olegario Banac Sr. gathered at his residence with his family for a first Sunday worship. We feel and lead by the Holy Spirit and committed ourselves to spread the gospel to all the world. From that time on up to Dec. 27, 1998,we were a mission of County Avenue Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Paul Magness, the pastor until we became an organized church into the local new testament church.

In 1995, when Federico Sumay graduated from the seminary of the Missionary Baptist Church, Davao City, he assumed as full time pastor. Since that time , he has been a dedicated and energetic pastor, well loved and respected by its member and friends. With good harmonious relations, fellowships and other church services, we win more believers which were good tithers and givers. Thus, with the church income, we started the construction of the church building in 1998.

In 2000, we transferred although construction was still going on. Finally, in 2002 it was completed and stood as living legacy of our hardships and sacrifices and blessings from the Lord. It stood now, the FIRST MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH OF DIGOS CITY which had linkage to the church founded by Jesus Christ .

COMMITMENT:

Having received Christ as my Lord and Savior and been baptized, and being in agreement with the teaching of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Digos City, we now feel led by the Holy Spirit to commit our lives to God and to the other members to the following:

1. WE WILL PROTECT THE UNITY OF OUR CHURCH
….by acting in love toward other members
….by refusing to gossip
….by obeying leaders
“Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual
edification”. (Romans 14:19)

“Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you
have sincere love for your brothers. Love one another deeply, from the heart
(1 Peter:22)

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths. But only what is
helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefits
those who listen.” (Ephesians 4:29)

“Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you
as men who must give an account. Obey that so that their work will be a joy
not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you ( Hebrews 13:17)
2. WE WILL SHARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF OUR CHURCH
….by praying for its growth
….inviting people to attend
….by warmly welcoming those who visit

“To the church.. we always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in
your prayers” (1 Thess. 1:1-2 )

“..go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that
my house will be full” (Luke 14:23)

“Accept one another, then just as Christ accepted you in order to bring
praise to God” )Romans 15:7)

3. WE WILL SERVE THE MINISTRY OF OUR CHURCH
…by discovering our gifts and talents
…by being equipped to, serve
…by developing a servant’s heart

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully
administering God’s grace in its various forms” (1Peter 4:10)

“It was who He (God) who gave… Some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare Gods
people for the work of the service so that the body of Christ may be built up”
(Ephesians 4:11:12)

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility
consider other better than yourselves . Each of you should look not only
of your own interest, but also the interest of others. Your attitudes should
be the same as that of Christ Jesus.. taking the very nature of a servant..”
(Phil. 2:3-7)

4. WE WILL SUPPORT THEIR TESTIMONY OF OUR CHURCH
…by attending faithfully
…by giving regularly
…bv living a godly life

“Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing
but let us encourage one another..”( Hebrews 10:25

“Whatever happens, conduct yourself in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ..” (Phil. 1:27)

“Each one of you, on the first day of the week, should set aside a specific amount of money in proportion to what you have earned and use it for
the offering.” (1 Cor. 16:2 LB)
“And all the tithes of the land, whether of the seed of then land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord.” ( Lev.27:30 NKJV)

How to be Saved?

How do people become “saved” and “born again” Christians? How can you receive eternal life so that you will be sure to go to be with God when you die? A widely distributed Christian tract says the following is what the Bible requires.

1. Admit that you are a sinner.
The Bible says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
2. Know that God has already provided for your salvation.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son [Jesus Christ] that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
3. Know that you cannot save yourself.
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us” (Titus 3:5).
4. Repent of your sins.
“Except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).
5. Ask Jesus Christ to save you.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13) and “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31).
6. Proclaim Jesus before others.
“If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9, 10).

You can be joyously “saved” and “born again” and receive eternal life right NOW, as millions of people worldwide have, when you receive Jesus Christ as your Savior. Born-again Christians overwhelmingly look at their salvation as the most exciting event in their lives.

Can you genuinely say a prayer like the following? If you are sincere, God will immediately save you and give you everlasting life.

A guide to what to pray:

“Dear Father in Heaven, I realize that I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins [wrongdoings]. I am willing to turn from my sins and lead the life you want me to lead. I now ask Jesus Christ to come into my heart and I receive Him into my life as my personal Savior. I am willing, by God's grace, to follow and obey Christ as the Lord of my life. Please forgive me for my sins and save me”

What next?

Would you like to show your faith in Jesus right now? Start by letting someone (another Christian) know you are saved. (Let us at Creation Tips know too, of course; or even just let us know if you are not sure whether anyone close to you is a born-again Christian. Drop us a message below and let us know for our records the date you were saved.) Then …

Get a Bible and read it every day to get to know Jesus Christ better.

* Talk to God in prayer every day.
* Tell others about Christ.
* Join a Bible-believing church and get baptized. Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church that truly believes the Bible and where Christ is preached.
